The Story of A Girl...

Once upon a time, there was a woman who knew NOTHING about football. She never cared to watch it, she never knew what was going on, and on the rare occasion she did watch it (with friends only), she may have asked questions and the response was always "Shhhhh..be quiet! We can't hear!".  As time went by, she knew people who LOVED the sport, and everything that went with it.  They loved the action, the drama, and yelling at the players and the refs. She didn't understand how people could get so involved in a game, that they weren't even playing! Then one day came a long a man...(I bet you can guess how this ends.) This particular man LOVED football. He loved watching it, and playing it. Over time the woman, and the man fell in love...but with the man, comes the dreaded game of football. The woman decided that in effort to be a good and worthy companion to this woman, she would have to try to at least sit through some of a game with him. At first she pretended to watch the games, as she gazed off into nowhere. Sometimes she would read a book, while pretending to watch some of the game..but as time went on and the man was ever diligent about explaining the game that he had so much love for, the woman started understanding what was going on, and in fact started to enjoy the game that oh so many other LOVE. At first it started with just watching the games, for real. Then after that came asking questions, and understanding the flags and ref's calls. As she understood the game better, she started to get waaay more into it. Now, the poor man occasionally has to tell the woman to calm down, and relax..its just a game.  I'm not saying the woman will ever love the game as much as her man does, and sometimes she doesn't really care to watch it at all, but she learned that by doing something for the one she loves...she learned to like a new game.(And learned that it was fun to yell at the TV).
The End.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am SO grateful to live in a country where we have the blessings we do. I love being able to spend the holidays with my family, and enjoy the company and the food!

Some of the things we're the most grateful for this year:
Our Families who are so supportive
The Gospel which makes such a difference in our lives
Friends who are always there for us, and loving us
Our Jobs in an economy where so many people don't have a job
Cars that run, and that we can count on

I hope everyone can find at least 5 things to be thankful for this year!

Singin'...

Under my umbrella.

I LOVE Glee! It's not that I necessarily watch the show for the plot line, because lets face it, it seems to me like they're trying to be politically correct...The 'gay kid', the 'black girl', the 'unwed pregnant teenager', the 'prude'. Well you get it.. I do however love the songs. Where else can you  hear a mash-up of Singin' in the Rain, and Umbrella?!

We're trying a blog..

It seems like everyone is always talking about blogs...keeping one, reading one, it's all about blogs.  Kirk asked me a couple weeks ago, "Isn't that a Mormon thing?".  Well I don't know if it is or not, but to me it sure is a good way to stay somewhat involved and 'in the know' of what's going on in friends lives.  As far as whats going on in our lives, it's a lot of the same old things... Kirk's still Engineering away, and thankfully things have been good and busy for him. I'm officially being made a 'Front End Lead', which although it sounds important, it only means I'll have more responsibility, but not with more hours or more money. I am SUPER excited for Thanksgiving next week. Yes, it means work for me is about to get crazy, BUT it also means that Star and Angel and their lovely families are going to be in town!!! Oh how I love and miss my aunties. Utah is just to far away when you love your family as much as I do.
